Booking:

If the booking is made more than four weeks before the stay, the guest will be asked to pay a deposit of half of the full amount due to confirm the booking, and to settle the remaining amount four weeks before the stay. Payments should be made by bank transfer.  If the booking is made less than four weeks before the stay, then full payment is due immediately.

Craven Cottage reserves the right to cancel a holiday booking where full payment has not been received in accordance with these terms.

On making a booking, the guest will be asked to provide their full name and address, as well as a contact telephone number and information on the number of guests in the party.

The Contract entered into is between Craven Cottage and the person making the booking (who must be over 18 years old) and all the other members of the party. This contract is for short term holiday let only. The contract is only effective once the completed booking form is received with the required payment and written confirmation of acceptance has been sent by Craven Cottage.  The Contract is subject to Law and the jurisdiction of the Courts.

Cancellations:

Guests are strongly advised to take out appropriate cancellation and travel insurance.  The guest is asked to notify the owner of any cancellation as early as possible. If the owner succeeds in obtaining a replacement booking for the one cancelled, then the guest will be refunded. If no replacement booking is made, then no refund will be possible.

The owners reserve the right to cancel a booking for reasons beyond their control, such as unforeseen damage to the cottage, failure of services, etc. Under these circumstances all funds paid by the guest in connection with the booking will be refunded.

Access to Cottage:

Upon receipt of full payment, the owner will send the guest information about how to access the key to the cottage. The cottage will be available from 4pm on the first day of the booked period. The guest is kindly asked to vacate the cottage by 10am on the day of departure, replacing the key in the key safe as they leave.

Condition of Property:

The owner will ensure that the property is properly cleaned prior to the guest's arrival.

The guests undertake to leave the property and its contents in the same condition as at the commencement of the holiday, with rooms clean and tidy (excepting bedding and towels), any ashes removed from the fireplace, bins emptied and dishes washed and put away.

The owner of the property should be compensated for any damage and breakages which may occur (excepting normal wear and tear). The owner reserves the right to invoice the guest for any extra cleaning or repair work the guest causes.

Extra Guests:

Rates are based on an occupancy of up to four people.  A bunk room is available and linens and towels for extra guests are £20 per person.

Dogs:

You are welcome to bring your dog on your cottage holiday.  There a charge of £20 per dog and we ask that they stay downstairs and off sofas, and are not left alone while you are out.  Dogs are also welcome at both of our village pubs.

Electric vehicles: 

 

If you have an electric vehicle and want to charge it from the cottage, please discuss with us first.

Liability:


Craven Cottage shall not be liable for death or any personal injury. No liability is accepted for any other damage, injury, loss, expense (accidental or otherwise) or inconvenience to you or any member of your party and/or your or their belongings, damage by or to any third party, or for damage to any motor vehicle or its contents which may be in any way connected with the let. The terms of the Contracts (Rights of the Third Party) Act 1999 shall not apply to this contract.

 

NO SMOKING POLICY:
 

There is a strict no smoking policy at Craven Cottage.
